The glass used in this series is referred to as “fracture streamer”.  The fractures are the shards that resemble leaves, and the streamers are the black, long, thin, and sometimes curved or angled lines that resemble sticks or twigs.  For this series, the goal was to combine the chaotic nature of this type of glass with the ordered geometric formations and shapes of the individual glass pieces.  This combination brings an entirely new perspective into the artistic potential of this uncommonly used glass.
